When I started my childcare business over 13 years ago I realized that I would need to convince potential clients that my childcare was the place for them. In particular, I knew that I had to build credibility as a childcare provider. One of the things I did to better convey my experience and market my childcare was to develop a Childcare Provider Portfolio. I would invite parents to go review the portfolio during tours. It worked quite well for showing how much experience I had in the field. It also showed the specialized training I had even if I would forget to mention it.

As a childcare provider, many of us dream of having childcare parents that are more like a community. We would willingly welcome clients who want to really be a part of our childcare. Well, I have found if you build it they will come. If you create something for them to be involved in, many will do just that. What do I mean? There needs to be something to be a part of before people will join. You gotta throw a party before anyone will show up. Make sense right? So let’s create something. Let’s create an event to remember.
