You might not realize it but you have a morning routine. In this post, I want to challenge you to look at how you typically start your day and make some changes that better serve you.

Now I realize that doing something NEW can be hard sometimes, but creating a better morning routine doesn’t necessarily have to be something complicated or time-consuming. In fact, it can be as simple as eating breakfast while looking over emails from yesterday or checking your calendar & social media during your morning coffee time.

However, if you want something more involved in order to make sure all bases are covered keep reading. In this post, I’ll share with you how to create the perfect morning routine for the daycare provider.

So you might be asking yourself, why would morning routine for the daycare provider be a thing. Well, as a daycare owner, your morning routine is really important. This is the time when you get ready for the daycare day and it actually sets up how well things will go throughout the rest of the day.

If you’re not in a good mood in the morning, chances are that the people you come in contact with, like your parents or assistant, aren’t going to be either. Which in turn can affect their moods and even their performance.

Starting your day off right is a great way to get yourself ready for whatever challenges the day may hold. A morning routine helps you start your day on the right foot so that you have a clear mind and are more productive throughout the rest of your workday. Here are some tips that will help you create a morning routine that works best for you:

How to set up your morning routine

So what should be part of your morning routine? Here’s some Examples of what you could do in the morning to get ready for the day ahead:

  1. Wake up and drink a large glass of water
  2. Exercise for at least 30 minutes – this can be in the form of a morning walk with your dog or going on an outdoor jog
  3. Make sure to eat breakfast so you have energy for all those activities ahead! – but make sure it’s healthy – don’t eat anything that is high in sugar
  4. Check email and do any necessary work before you start your daycare day to start working with children

Creating your perfect morning

As you create the perfect morning routine for you consider what you need and what you need to do before you really start your daycare day. For example, if you need to stay inspired make it a point to find a daily affirmation, meditate or pray.

Maybe this is the perfect time to listen to an audiobook or my favorite – journaling. The point is to create a daily process that allows you the space to start your day on a positive note.

My Morning Routine

One of the best things I did in 2021 was to create and incorporate a morning routine. And when I tell you it has made a world of difference in not just my morning but my daycare days I MEAN IT!

My morning routine allows me to create inspiration for my day, get spiritually balanced, review my day, and accomplish routine tasks that prepare me so I don’t forget anything important. This allows me a specific dedicated time of the day to do certain tasks like journaling, checking my calendar for appointments, and my emails.

  2. Have fun with this time because this might your most calm time of the day.
  3. Make sure you set aside some time to relax every evening so you’re not constantly stressed out from running around all day long
